Expect your guest room or suite to look as spotlessly clean as it did when you first arrived — and to be treated to a few thoughtful extras — after receiving Mandarin Oriental, Singapore’s nightly turndown service. During our most recent visit to this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, turndown service included a fully cleaned room, replenishment of empty water bottles and bathroom amenities and neatly made-up bedding, including fluffed pillows, slippers on the floor and the TV remote and channel list placed on one of the bedside tables. The curtains in our premier ocean room were fully drawn, which meant we were welcomed back with brilliant views of the illuminated Singapore Flyer, lotus-shaped ArtScience Museum and Marina Bay Sands hotel. Reading materials were straightened and a book we’d left on the work desk, face down, was closed and put on a reading table next to the lounge chair with a hotel-branded bookmark placed on the page it was opened to.
