The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore

A chic waterfront hotel
VERIFIED LUXURY
From the stunning views of the bay to the interior design, the waterfront Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore is the definition of chic. Guest rooms are sleek and modern with high ceilings, marble-topped furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows, again to give you access to that amazing view.

However, a sweet view isn't the only perk in your room. Techies will love that everything in the room can be controlled with the bedside panel, and you can charge up with the iPod docking station. The tech extras continue in the bathrooms, where a television built into the wall near the tub can be positioned for ideal viewing while soaking in a bubble bath. An electronic privacy screen covers the clear glass to separate the bathroom from the bedroom with a touch of a button.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • Friendly, accommodating and professional, the consistently high level of personalized service provided by this Singapore hotel’s staff, from the members of the well-informed concierge team to the helpful receptionists, is one of the true highlights of any stay.
  • Situated between the hotel’s trendy Lantern bar and its compact fitness center, the 82-foot rooftop lap pool is ringed by lush tropical greenery and surrounded by the panoramic scenery of the financial district and harbor.
  • The Fullerton Bay Hotel couldn’t be much more ideally located. The city-state’s glitzy shopping centers on Orchard Road are a short taxi ride away while popular tourist attractions such as the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel, Gardens by the Bay and Merlion Park are a short walk away, as is Lau Pa Sat, one of Singapore’s best center for hawkers with food and other wares.
  • Each of the hotel’s 100 guest rooms and suites features double-glazed, floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies and spectacular views, particularly the harbor-facing bay view and premier bay view rooms.
  • The hotel makes the most of its panoramic vistas of the bay and skyline throughout the property, but be sure to take in the rooftop bar, which overlooks the bay and the massive Marina Bay Sands Casino.
Things to Know
  • This luxury Singapore hotel is ideally located in the central financial district, a short walk from many of the city-state’s most-popular attractions, including Esplanade – Theatres By the Bay, ArtScience Museum and Gardens by the Bay.
  • With its bold decorative panels, marble mosaic-tiled flooring, glittering circular chandeliers and geometric-shaped glass fixtures, the hotel has a distinctly contemporary design, though smart flourishes such as vintage maps and luggage sets reflecting the hotel’s historical location are also found in the lobby and room corridors.
  • If you show up at the hotel in the wee hours of the morning following a long, tiring flight and need something to eat, room service is conveniently available 24 hours a day. The overnight in-room dining menu includes everything from pastas, a club sandwich and Wagyu cheeseburger to local specialties such as laksa and nasi goreng.
The Rooms
  • The guest rooms at The Fullerton Bay Hotel are luxurious with a contemporary design and soothing colors. In large part, this feeling of opulence is created with the use of a neutral color scheme, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, polished burl wood walls and rich fabrics.
  • Our bay view room at this posh Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel also featured thick, plush carpeting, vintage photographic prints of Singapore and modern decorative pieces such as golden fruit placed in a long, horizontal picture frame.
  • Amenities included a Nespresso coffee machine, a selection of TWG Tea, a large flat-screen television with DVD player in the bedroom and additional 19-inch, flat-screen TV in the bathroom and a large outdoor balcony right on the harbor. Of course, the most distinguishing feature of the room just might have been the double-glazed, floor-to-ceiling windows, through which we could look out on the landmark Marina Bay Sands hotel, the lotus flower-shaped ArtScience Museum and 42-story high Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel.
  • Bathrooms are stocked with luxury Bottega Veneta body wash, bar soap, shampoo, conditioner and hydrating lotion, while other complimentary bath products include shaving and dental kits, a hair brush, emery board and cotton swabs.
The Look
  • With its geometric-shaped decorative elements, marble mosaic-tiled flooring and modern sculptures, renowned designer Andre Fu has fashioned this luxury hotel into a distinctly contemporary space.
  • You’ll find reminders of The Fullerton Bay Hotel’s waterfront location throughout the hotel, from vintage nautical maps in the lobby to signature cocktails grouped into thematic sections on the bar menu such as The Clifford Collection, which refers to the Clifford Pier on which the hotel is located.
  • Though you’ll inevitably be drawn to the shimmering mosaic-tiled floor that runs alongside The Landing Point, the sparkling, circular-shaped chandeliers lining the corridor’s ceiling are just as distinct, as is the oversized, tiered chandelier suspended high over the reception area.
  • From luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites that feature posh goose down and Egyptian cotton bedding, to cushy public lounge areas with elegant, comfortable velvet couches and lounge chairs, this hotel is extremely plush.
  • We love the bold design of many of The Fullerton Bay Hotel’s most distinguishing decorative pieces, particularly the near floor-to-ceiling decorative panel behind the reception desk and the pyramid-shaped glass fixtures that hang over The Landing Point bar like icicles.
