The mini-bar — or Munchies Box, as it’s called at W Singapore, Sentosa Cove — is packed with snacks, drinks and a handful of fun goodies that reflect the luxury Singapore hotel’s young, trendy persona.
For a quick bite at the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended hotel you can rip into tins of Pringles potato chips or Blue Diamond mixed nuts and roasted almonds, or tear open a bag or two of Skittles. If you’re craving something sweet, you’ll also find a big container of marshmallows and two plastic boxes for chocoholics: one with two Cadbury bars and another with a chunky Kit-Kat, Mars and Snickers. Non-alcoholic beverages you can wash it all down with include cans of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Red Bull, as well as bottles of Vitamin Water, Avitez still water, Thomas Henry tonic water and orange or apple juice.
Then again, you may want to save some of those drinks and use them as mixers for the large selection of top-shelf spirits supplied in the mini-bar, ergh, Munchies Box. Here you’ll find bottles of Belvedere, Johnnie Walker Black, Maker’s Mark, Hennessey VSOP, Bacardi, Silver Patrón, The Macallan 12 Years, Bombay Sapphire and Grand Marnier liqueur, while lighter tipples include cans of Heineken, bottles of Tiger Crystal beer and a selection of wine that includes Santa Rita’s Gran Hacienda cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay, Innocent Bystander moscato and Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
That’s not all.
W Singapore, Sentosa Cove’s Munchies Box also has an electronica CD curated by acclaimed DJ/music producer Michaelangelo L’Acqua, a three-pack of Oxygen Plus revitalizing oxygen canisters and a small, just-in-case tin with bandages, decongestants, antacid relief tablets and Tylenol.
