Point Reyes National Seashore is also an easy day-trip from Napa or Sonoma. On your way stop in the tiny town of Pt. Reyes Station for cheese at Cowgirl Creamery and assorted picnic fixings, then head directly to Hog Island Oyster Company and grab a picnic table right on Tomales Bay for a feast of fresh shucked bivalves harvested daily from the oyster farm. Be sure to reserve your table well in advance, as Hog Island is extremely popular.
