Every treatment room has its own private shower, ergonomically designed treatment beds and chairs where spa rituals are performed.
Even the changing rooms in this Portugal spa are luxurious, made evident with details like heated limestone floors.
The relaxation lounges are a sanctuary to chill in a private, curtained relaxation bed with a reading light and personal music system.
Spa patrons can take a eucalyptus-scented sauna in the heat experiences and then indulge in the crushed ice fountain for the perfect balance of senses, one that both calms and invigorates.
As part of the spa’s wellness exchange program, signature treatments and expert therapists are periodically brought in from other Four Seasons properties around the globe — exotic locales that have been featured include Mumbai and Thailand, among others.

While the temperature in Lisbon is lovely almost all-year round, the mild temperatures during the spring and fall months make those seasons the very best time to book a trip.

The Treatments

Most services featured at the Ritz Lisbon are designed around one of a trio of high-end spa product lines: Swiss Perfection, Sodashi and ESPA, all known for encompassing holistic properties.
A favorite is the ESPA Holistic Total Body Care that starts with a refreshing head-to-toe brushing to eradicated dead skin cells, followed by a deep all-over massage with essentials oils. This indulging treatment ends with an express facial that will your skin an impeccable glow.
The most popular service is aptly named the Portuguese Retreat. It begins with a body scrub of natural honey and almond and is followed by a massage with a hint of rose to calm the senses.
You’ll also want to check out the seasonal treatments the Lisbon spa features, often from far-flung locations, such as an ancient Indian massage technique that combines warm herbal oil and both invigorating and soothing strokes.

The Facilities

An indoor, 59-foot lap pool complements the chic blending of elements that can be found throughout the hotel’s well-curated neutral-toned spaces — earth, air and water converge. Overlooking the property’s gardens and one of the city’s lush parks, the pool is heated to an ideal temperature between 78 and 82 degrees.
Also perched high with a magnificent view is the rooftop fitness center. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer a magnificent view from the treadmills, bicycles and elliptical machines.
The pièce de résistance is the 1,313-foot, open-air track that encircles the rooftop with spectacular views of the city.
