The Sisley Spa at The Dominick

A sanctuary for the senses in SoHo
VERIFIED LUXURY

As New York City's only Sisley-branded spa, The Sisley Spa at The Dominick brings French air to downtown Manhattan. The nine-treatment room sanctuary is perched on the hotel's seventh and eighth floors, and the windows, both in the private rooms and coed relaxation lounge, provide a sublime city view that complements your serene service.

The 11,000-square-foot spa is a winding maze with oases awaiting at every corner — a Himalayan salt chamber, two intricately tiled Turkish hammams, men's and women's locker rooms stocked with the renowned French brand's line of hair care products, and an artfully decorated relaxation room.

The treatment menu goes beyond standard services as well. It offers dynamic, multi-sensory experiences such as The Dominick Honeybee Ritual, which uses a body mask made with honey harvested onsite, and the La Cure Facial, where estheticians utilize massage techniques for the facial. A visit here is a feast for all the senses — the unobstructed city views, the faint smell of roses wafting in the air and the feel of the hammam's warm marble — that will leave you feeling transported and transformed.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Three wellness suites offer the opportunity for a total escape. Suites come equipped with an adjoining private treatment room, an en suite hammam or sauna, a steam shower, an oversized bathtub, a Peloton bicycle and much more.
  • Treatments incorporate unexpected sensory elements. The hydrating Black Rose Facial, for example, employs rose scent into the experience. The Zen Harmony Phyto-Aromatic Body Ritual uses various pressures, touches and scents to create an immersive encounter.
  • The Honeybee Ritual, a treatment exclusive to The Dominick, begins with a honey body mask made from the hotel's very own rooftop beehive – make sure to sample the honey with an herbal tea offered in the lounge – that’s followed by a heavenly scalp massage, full body exfoliation and moisturizing massage.
  • The spa's two Turkish hammams — one for each gender — really impress. The Moroccan Hammam service begins with a traditional body exfoliation and rinse, then proceeds with a purifying clay wrap before finishing with a hydrating olive oil cleanse.
  • The Core Meditation device in the coed relaxation lounge offers a moment of mindfulness. The hand-held device uses innovative technology to synchronize gentle vibrations and audio soundscapes to your heart rate.

Things to Know

  • Each of the nine treatment rooms features oversized windows with sweeping views of lower Manhattan. Guests can opt to leave the curtains open or closed during their service.
  • The relaxation room exudes a feeling of serenity upon entry. Art books are piled on the coffee table, Himalayan salt rocks softly glow in between reclining chairs and the terrace opens directly onto the pool area during the summer.
  • Lovers will swoon over the couple's treatment room's in-suite Jacuzzi. The Couples Deluxe adds an extra dose of romance with customizable side-by-side treatments and a prosecco bottle to share in the in-room whirlpool.
  • The men's and women's locker rooms are well-lit and well-stocked with Dyson hairdryers and, naturally, Sisley bath amenities, such as hair masks, shampoos and conditioners.
  • The fitness center shares the eighth floor with the spa. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow abundant natural light and add to the gym's spacious feel. The space is stocked with enough Mirror equipment, Peloton bikes and Technogym treadmills to make it easy to work up a sweat.
