Tucked into a corner of The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya just off the lobby, The St. Regis Spa Kanai provides a nature haven. The wood-and-stone-filled facility with eight treatment rooms brings the outdoors in with oversized windows that overlook the landscape. But the spa also encourages you to go outside with its large pool hanging over the mangroves, where you can linger in the lounge-style daybeds amid the lush local vegetation.

Like the rest of the resort, the spa gleans inspiration from ancient Mayan astronomy. Upon check-in, select an essence of choice that mirrors the celestial theme utilized in the resort's architecture. Each essence alludes to the stages of the moon. Mayan cultural elements are incorporated within the wellness menu, too, alongside the traditional massages, facials, body treatments and beauty prep.

The treatments at the Riviera Maya spa feature essences from local plants and aromatic herbs sourced in the resort's secret garden. Therapists also incorporate St. Regis and Sothys Paris products.
Come early to use the hydro circuit's sauna, steam room, whirlpool, cold plunge and relaxation pool. Other amenities include a chlorophyll drink and an ice fountain, excellent for exfoliation and hydrating a sunburn.

The Secret Garden ritual taps into the ancient Mayan practice of using herbs and plant medicine with a guided walk through the onsite secret garden, where you can personalize your well-being elixir.
The Celestial Energy draws on aromas and colors to connect you with the light of Ixchel (the moon goddess) and the Motz (Pleiades) energy to help restore your natural cycle and help you relax. The highly spiritual experience resonates with ancestral Mayan medicine.

The Treatments

The Xunan Kab uses moisturizing and soothing local ingredients like honey and coconut. It includes a body scrub, mask and hydration to help sun-kissed skin.
A Mangrove & Sea Salt massage combines salt particles, medium pressure and gentle wave movements. The exquisite service leaves the skin supple, while simultaneously restoring the body and mind.
Replenish your parched skin with the Profound Hydration. The facial includes four different types of hyaluronic acid, Boletus extract to spur hyaluronic acid production and a cryo-eye treatment to reduce dark circles and puffiness.
