When you book your luxuriously rustic room at The Point, you’ll have carte blanche for all meals and beverages during your stay. And just because they are included does not mean the wines served at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel are poor quality. In fact, all wines offered through the carte blanche bar system at The Point are very well chosen.
Some wines that you may find awaiting you at the bars are scattered throughout the 75-acre property include a Heitz Cellar Chardonnay from Napa or a crisp glass of Taittinger Cuvée Prestige. That said, several wines used during lunch and dinner service are available, too — all you need to do is ask. We loved the refreshing Zinfandel blend, which was a perfectly light accompaniment to the roasted pork loin we were served. A Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape could also be on the menu for dinner, a perfect complement to the chef’s roast squab.
