The décor of JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa (with sparkling new updates in the summer of 2013) is a serene reflection of the surrounding desert. Taupes and beiges predominate the scene, accented by the bold magenta and gold of Tucson's jewel-box sunsets. Starr Pass offers 540 rooms and 35 suites, all on the top three floors of the five-story hotel, so each has a soaring view across the lush desert to the city, or to the forest of tall saguaro cactuses that march up the hillsides all around. Rooms are quiet because they are separated from the bustle of the public areas and convention center. All rooms have a sizeable work table with a multitude of outlets for today's wired workers, and access to Wi-Fi for those moments when you are not busy looking for jackrabbits or listening for a coyote howl in the desert below your balcony.
