Fairmont Pacific Rim has embraced advanced technology in an impressive fashion, beginning with the in-room iPad that controls almost every aspect of the room from lights to temperature. The 42-inch LCD television features surround sound, while the television inside the bathroom mirror has Bose sound to enjoy while you float in your marble tub. The alarm clock next to the bed has an iPod dock for charging and customization, and wireless Internet is available for a fee (though it’s free if you join the Fairmont loyalty program). Touchpads mounted on the walls allow you to customize specific lighting “scenes” in the room if you don’t want to use the iPad, and a digital safe, Nespresso coffee maker and electronic privacy button round out the techie advances in the room.
