Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s 24-hour room service menu has a great story behind it. Apparently when screen legend Katharine Hepburn waltzed into the iconic Vancouver hotel back in 1950, she handed her list of requirements to the manager, which included meals in her room because the notoriously private actress didn’t want to eat in the dining room. In doing so, she ended up introducing the late-night room service menu to the hotel. The cuisine has changed a bit since then, but you’ll still discover tasty breakfasts being served between 6 and 11 a.m., an all-day dining menu offered between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., and a late-night menu that spans the wee hours of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. When those midnight cravings occur, you’ll have a selection of simple fare like organic greens with apple cider vinaigrette, cured meat and cheese plates, a ham and cheese sandwich, a sliced fruit plate, chocolate cake, and, the most fun of all, a do-it-yourself Nutella sandwich on brioche bread with a banana served alongside. We think Hepburn would approve.
