There are no classes offered at the gym at The Jefferson, Washington, D.C., but the concierge can arrange personal training sessions and you have access to a nearby gym where classes are available.
The gym at the Jefferson is small but well appointed with two treadmills, a stationary bicycle and two elliptical machines, each draped with a fresh towel and outfitted with a bottle of water. The concierge staff can arrange for a personal training session in this space, which will use much of the gym's strength-training equipment: two adjustable benches, a dumbbell set that goes up to 50 pounds and a cable machine, as well as a Swiss ball and several workout mats. There isn't much room to spread out here, but the equipment outstrips many similar hotel gyms.
If you're interested in fitness classes, you'll have to take your workout elsewhere. The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel has no fitness classes or swimming pool onsite, but you do have access to the University Club of Washington, D.C., which is less than a block from the luxury hotel. You can take a dip, enjoy the hot tub, partake in a fitness class and schedule a session with a personal trainer.
