The best restaurants and food options for kids can be found at Café du Parc and in the guest rooms at Willard InterContinental. In your room at the Forbes Travel Guide Recommended D.C. hotel, kids will love the selections from the comfort food section of the room service menu, which is served from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from the all-day dining section. You’ll find comfort choices including macaroni and cheese ($6), breaded chicken fingers and fries ($8), a grilled cheese sandwich and fries ($8) and spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce ($10). There are also pizzas and other pastas on this menu, as well as a dessert that the little ones will love: a trio of freshly baked cookies. There are plenty of options for kids at breakfast, too: stuffed buttermilk pancakes, Belgian waffles, French toast, fresh fruit, yogurt and oatmeal.
Similar dishes are available at Café du Parc, the hotel’s onsite French bistro. The restaurant’s children’s menu gives kids a taste of grown-up options instead of sticking them with chicken fingers. Breakfast includes such options as banana pancakes and Belgian waffles, and lunch and dinner include small steaks, fish, roast chicken and buttered pasta entrées. There’s fun stuff, too: a grilled Gruyère sandwich, hand-cut fries and ice cream or chocolate mousse for dessert.
When it comes to restaurants at Willard InterContinental that are best for families with children, we recommend Café du Parc.
