The Allison Spa

Vinotherapy in the Willamette Valley
VERIFIED LUXURY
There’s nothing like a little vinotherapy following a day of wine tasting (and before a wine-soaked dinner) and that’s why we’ve been crushing hard on The Allison Spa. It’s the first spa of its kind in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and its serene and luxurious environment is ideal for unwinding in between wine tastings. What could be better than peering out at the valley and sipping a glass of pinot with your pedicure?

The 15,000-square-foot spa is flooded with natural light and the three relaxation lounges are connected to outdoor terraces. The spa’s unique set of services are rooted in a philosophy of celebrating the local terroir, whether it’s a facial with a honey and wine mask or a body treatment with biodynamic (this is Oregon, after all) Northwest-grown peppermint and rosehips.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• The sleek entrance with its glittering gold column in the center of the room is your first indication of the luxury that waits inside.

• Following the design style of The Allison Inn, natural materials and varied textures are placed throughout a cool, contemporary setting.

• The Allison Spa takes being green seriously and so all the skincare products are organic. The products come from Eminence Organic Skin Care, a high-quality Hungarian skin care line that incorporates the highest quality natural ingredients, including lemongrass, blueberries, hibiscus and eucalyptus.

• Complimentary refreshments at The Allison Spa include healthy bites such as apples, banana chips and dried cherries. Lemon-infused water and Steven Smith hot teas are put out for pre- or post-treatment sipping.

• Guests are gifted with a decadent house-made chocolate truffle upon departure.
Things to Know
• The best way to get an appointment at The Allison Spa is to book your treatment when you make your room reservation, at least two weeks in advance.

• While the spa does reserve a few openings for last-minute walk-ins, it’s best to secure your preferred treatments early.

• Weekend appointments can be tough to get and you wouldn’t want to lose out on a massage with champagne oil—so don’t wait until check in.

• If you’d like to take a memory of your visit to the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa home with you, the robes and many of the products used for treatments are available for purchase in the Willamette Valley spa’s onsite shop.
The Treatments
• One of the signature and most popular Allison Spa treatments is the 90-minute Grape Seed Cure. It begins with a crushed grape seed scrub and an organic honey and wine wrap to purify and exfoliate the skin.

• We highly recommend the mimosa massage. This soothing and aromatic massage uses champagne oil and pairs well with a refreshing non-alcoholic mimosa drink.

• What sets the NW Elements Facial apart is a nutrient-rich algae mask from Klamath Falls, hydrating Stone Crop, and other Northwestern ingredients. You are sure to relax after the heated stone massage around the neck area, shoulders and facial pressure points.

• When in Rome — the Divine Wine Facial embraces the natural anti-aging benefits of wine grapes. After a gentle cleanse, a nourishing honey-and-wine mask is applied, followed by an antioxidant serum and Black Perlette Grape Moisturizer.

• In both the mimosa manicure and pinot pedicure treatments, your hands and feet are soothed and detoxified with an array of vineyard-inspired organic ingredients, exfoliating scrub and rehydrating lotion to fully revitalize the skin. Enjoy a mimosa with your manicure or a glass of Oregon pinot with your pedicure.
The Facilities
• While you wait for your treatment, you can relax with a glass of Oregon pinot or a flute of bubbles in either the men’s, women’s or coed lounge.

• A soft glow illuminates The Allison Spa’s locker rooms and relaxation lounges. The spaces have floors made of aspen wood — an environmentally friendly renewable timber — that is a nod to an exterior grove of aspen trees just outside the spa.

• Each locker room features a sauna and eucalyptus-infused steam room with ice-chilled white towels nearby.

• At every turn, the nature-inspired décor subtly shimmers, like the flecked marble countertops that gleam with silvery accents and the glass mosaic tiles on the wall that reflect the light. As you pass from the lounge to the treatment room, original artwork of trees and rivers brings more of the natural beauty inside.

• The Allison Spa has a beautiful shop, and it’s easy to lose track of time when perusing the mementos, from the local products (Steven Smith teas — the same found in the spa lounge refreshment spread) to fanciful gift items (Gianna Rose Atelier decorative dog soaps).
