Williamsburg Inn’s 62 guest rooms are decorated in classic and restoration styles and furnished with pieces made of rich Honduras mahogany. All bedrooms have handmade custom-made silk window treatments with tassels that have been in the hotel for decades, as well as upholstered chairs and (in some rooms) canopied beds. Historians and the inn’s onsite interior designer have replicated period window treatments, wallpaper, paint color, floor finishes and even furniture arrangements for authenticity.
In 2001, the luxury hotel underwent a renovation, reducing its guest rooms from 104 to 62 to enlarge the spaces. The rooms now have sitting and work areas, and bathrooms boast twin marble vanities, a soaking tub and an oversized shower. Guest rooms offer views overlooking the golf course, lawn bowling and croquet greens, courtyards, gardens and the surrounding area. After a long day of touring historic Colonial Williamsburg, retreat to your suite and kick back in your white Williamsburg Inn robe and slippers and watch a movie on your 26-inch flat-screen television.
