Hotel Maximilian's

For more than three centuries, Hotel Maximilian’s has occupied a prominent stretch of Augsburg’s Maximilianstrasse, evolving alongside the city while retaining its historic character. The latest chapter arrived in 2026 in the form of seven new suites that add generous living and dining areas, kitchenettes and, in two cases, private saunas to the hotel’s accommodations.

Elsewhere, contemporary spaces sit alongside historic details, including the glass-domed tea hall that’s now used for private events. A heated rooftop pool offers views across Augsburg’s rooftops year-round, while Steinborn Spa sets a wellness tone with a Finnish sauna and salt steam bath.

Dining gives the luxury hotel another connection to the city and region. Sartory focuses on fine dining, maximilian°s takes a more contemporary approach to regional cooking and Bar 3M serves creative cocktails. Together, the historic setting and ongoing additions make the hotel feel like a living part of the city’s story.
