  • The next best thing to being on the Bund is having a great view of it, and the Shanghai hotel has a front-row seat from its Huangpu River-side perch. From the Grand Tower, you’ll have almost unobstructed vistas straight across the river to Puxi, the old area of the city.

Things to Know
  • The two main areas of Shanghai are split by the Huangpu River. Puxi is the old area with the Bund and sights like Yu Garden. Pudong is the newer section with the iconic Oriental TV Pearl Tower and the screwdriver-shaped Shanghai World Financial Center. The luxury hotel is in Pudong, and it takes about 20 to 45 minutes to get across the river, depending on traffic.
