15 Treatment Rooms

Situated along the banks of the Chao Phraya river, accessed via a short cruise on a private ferry from parent hotel Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, The Oriental Spa, Bangkok is a gorgeous luxury spa. Its scenic, tucked-away setting sets the stage for an indulgent visit.

Housed within a lovingly restored teak structure appointed with Buddhist sculptures, antique furnishings and fine Thai silks, the spa offers 10 private treatment rooms, five spa suites outfitted with steam and vitality pools, and two rooms designed exclusively for its range of facials. The Oriental Spa, Bangkok’s long list of body treatments includes everything from traditional Thai, Swedish and Balinese massages to signature experiences like the Oriental organic journey, a heavenly 2.5-hour respite that includes a body scrub, custom hair treatment, steam and massage with rice milk cream. Spa-going couples are also well-catered to with a variety of half- to full-day packages delivered in one of four specialty suites designed for two.

The Bangkok spa is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the day’s last treatment beginning no later than 8:30 p.m. Whether you just want to squeeze in a 60-minute massage or splurge on a seven-hour spa extravaganza, it’s best to book in advance — it would be a shame to miss out on an experience as blissful as this.
