Be prepared for pampering when you enter the wet areas at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Boston. To the left is a heated bench to rest on between showers or sit on while you decide how to spoil yourself next. The floors are also heated, so no fear of cold feet when stepping out of the shower. Near the heated bench is an experience shower which offers chromatherapy and comes with accompanying themes and sounds and is meant to enhance your senses before your treatment. You can skip that and opt for a private shower and invigorate your body with the pressure from the rain showerhead. Post-shower, turn on the whirling jets of the marble-lined vitality pool and let your worries melt away in the water’s warmth. Finally, grab a towel and some ice for your face and neck, and take a rest in the spacious steam room.

One of our favorite things about The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Boston, is the wet area. Make sure you allow for extra time before and after your treatment to truly indulge in everything the spa has to offer. In separate locker rooms for men and women you’ll find a truly immersive relaxation experience. There are standard showers and bathrooms, and also an experience shower, which allows you to set the scene for a 30-60 second ice or rainforest shower, ocean mist or light rain wash. A soak in the Jacuzzi or a few minutes in the crystal steam room are the perfect way to relax while you’re here.
