The best room at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island is, no doubt, the Presidential Suite in the center of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. With a huge balcony, formal dining area that seats 12, fireplace, the only one in the hotel, study and separate living room, this elegant 3,100-square-foot suite is as luxurious as it gets.
The next best option is the premium oceanfront suites that sit at the corner of the hotel. These suites come with a double balcony that looks out on the expansive, meticulously kept lawn, which is reminiscent of grand English gardens, surrounded by the U-shaped Southern plantation-inspired hotel. Plus, you'll see miles of coastline in either direction from the hotel grounds.
Even if you don't snag one of these coveted suites, all of the rooms are lovely, swathed in either a green or yellow color scheme with beautiful matching décor and spacious bathrooms. The suites are just slightly bigger and offer the best views at the luxury hotel.
