The conference area at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island is large, 18,000 square feet, and private, as it resides in its own wing of the hotel. The biggest of the bunch is the Grand Oaks Ballroom, which is a little more than 6,000 square feet and can be divided into breakout rooms from 775 square feet up to 3,750 square feet. All of the spaces are designed as an upscale ballroom that has a touch of British royalty influence with crystal chandeliers, elegant crown molding and elliptical cove ceilings.
For a smaller space, try the 2,880-square-foot Terrace Ballroom or the 1,870-square-foot Heron Room, both of which can be divided in half. Smaller groups may want to opt for the more intimate Calhoun Boardroom, which has a small study area and large conference table overlooking the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel grounds. Laptops, e-readers, and high-tech audio and visual equipment can be set up in each room, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Five-Star hotel. If you need more tech help, the business center is conveniently nearby; conference attendees have their own check-in area with separate entrance.
The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island offers numerous conference rooms, ranging from the opulent Calhoun Board Room, to small meeting rooms to the elegant Grand Oaks Ball Room that can accommodate up to 600 guests.
