The style of Spa Walden takes its cues from nature but also manages to feel private and cozy. The spa’s décor includes various natural elements, like river stones, oversized glass windows that welcome in sunlight, walls colored with blues and browns, and heavy wooden doors that slide open to allow access to the treatment rooms and relaxation lounge (they also buffer loud noises from the public spaces). The relaxation lounge (often called a “reflection lounge” by spa employees) also includes nature-inspired features, such as a high-vaulted wooden ceiling, fireplace and water fountain, along with chairs for reading and tables for lunch. Complimentary teas, waters, sodas and glasses of champagne are served in the lounge. Spa suites include stone floorings, steam showers, whirlpool baths and sitting areas under windows. Earth-toned walls are also found in the suites.
