The interior design of Trellis, The Spa at The Houstonian is modern but with a Southwestern-like design and décor.  The large 17,000 square foot stand-alone Mediterranean building features two floors with high ceilings, lots of natural light and an outdoor space to take in a breath of fresh air. Upon entering, there is a waiting area with the check-in desk and as you head back into the spa, you’ll find the saltwater float pool, the male and female locker rooms, equipped with separate wet areas, the nail treatment area, and then a staircase leading you up to a second level where you’ll find the relaxation and the treatment rooms. The first floor is a bit more active with people coming and going. Upstairs, the relaxation rooms are a bit more quiet. All areas of this Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star spa feature dark and neutral hues of browns, beiges and creams with Southwestern designs. The furnishings are both modern and comfortable with plush sofas, ottomans, arm chairs and chaise loungers with comfy brown blankets to stay snug. The relaxation area also features a large stone fireplace, which exudes warmth, making the space very comforting.
