The concierge at Altira Macau speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. In many hotels in Macau, you will find that English does not flow as freely as one might expect and some difficulties and confusion can arise as a result. Many Macanese also speak Portuguese and a version of Chinese, but basic English is most often present — it just may not be very polished. At this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, however, we didn’t experience a language barrier, which was refreshing. So if you are staying at this luxury Macau hotel, there is no need to brush up on your Chinese; but, there certainly is also the opportunity to practice it, if you have been learning the language.
Our concierges at Altira Macau stand at the ready to help with whatever needs you may have and are conversant in a few different languages. Our staff speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Want to know where to go for dinner outside of the hotel? Or what about getting to the airport for your flight home? The concierge at Altira Macau can give you dining recommendations, book a treatment at our spa and arrange for our house cars to drop you off at the airport, among other things. Our job is to make your stay as easy as possible, and the concierges speak a variety of languages to do just that.
