What public transportation can I take near Altira Macau?

If you’re set on taking a bus around Macau, the concierge at Altira can help you plan out our route. However, Forbes Travel Guide editors suggest that you either use the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service or jump into one of Macau’s plentiful and cheap taxis to get to where you want to go. These two modes of transportation are really quick, easy and inexpensive ways to get around town, whether you’re going to the  airport, the ferry, the mall or entertainment. Though some might see the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel's location on a map and think it is remote or removed, everything is very accessible from the Macau luxury hotel.

There most efficient form of public transportation in Macau is the various bus routes. For journeys on the Macau peninsula, there is a flat rate of MOP3.20 (about $.40). If you’re traveling to Taipa, the rate is MOP4.20 (about $.53) and MOP5 (about $.63) to Coloane. Between Macau and Taipa, you can catch buses 11, 22, 25X, 28A, 30, 33, 34 and MT4. There are also buses in Macau that stop at the airport, although those buses are caught in Macau, not Taipa. If you want to avoid public transportation together, whether you’re short on time or have too much luggage to cart around, we recommend you either use our complimentary shuttle service, car service or hop in a taxi.
