The excellent Italian restaurant Aurora is the most family-friendly option amongst Altira Macau’s four signature restaurants, particularly on Sundays. Though normally dressy and formal, Aurora lets its hair down, so to speak, for Sunday brunch, with entertaining performances from magicians and clowns twisting balloons for the kids. Brunch is popular with locals and guests alike at this Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, so advance reservations are recommended. (Note that Altira Macau’s Japanese restaurant Kira also participates in Sunday brunch.)
Outside of Sunday, Aurora is still probably the best spot for kids, but keep in mind that dining here is an upscale experience. There’s also a kid’s section on the luxury Macau hotel's room service menu, as well as a number of restaurants at the City of Dreams shopping complex, easily reached via the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service.
Bringing the kids on vacation doesn’t mean you have to be restricted to fast food meals. Out of our selection of restaurants at Altira Macau, Aurora is the best restaurant to bring your family. Sunday brunch is the ideal time to go — the formal dining area transforms into a playful respite for kids to enjoy a meal. A magician and clown are on-hand to provide entertainment while you dine, and because brunch popular, it is best to make reservations ahead of time. During the week it is a relatively dressy spot, so if you want to avoid the potential for a kid meltdown in the middle of your meal, there’s always in-room dining. We provide a special kids’ portion to the menu, where you can order fast, tasty dishes your kids will certainly gobble up.
