As you’d expect at a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, Altira Macau has an extensive international wine list. Since Aurora features Italian food, the wine list concentrates on selections from Europe. Hundreds of bottles are on display within the restaurant showing a sort of reverence for the collection and there’s even the option to eat surrounded by the walls of wine bottles in the cellar. Italian wines dominate the list, but the restaurant boasts of a wide selection from Portugal as well. The restaurant has an impressive and show- stopping vertical collection of Chateau Latour from 1945 to 2005 and a few bottles on the list can only be purchased with the whole collection, valued at MOP $1.3 million.
For all you wine connoisseurs: meet your match. Altira Macau’s bar at 38 Lounge houses wonderful wines that vary in price and region, whether it’s a full bottle, half bottle or by the glass. Tickle your palette with white wines such as sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot grigio and chablis, and don’t hesitate to ask our staff for any recommendations.
