It goes without saying that rooms facing the Atlantic at Acqualina Resort & Spa have the best vistas — especially in Sunny Isles where you are steps away from the water at this luxury hotel. Of course, the higher up, the better the view. Note: Rooms on the fifth floor don’t offer great views but they make up for it with a larger terrace decorated with outdoor furniture. We’ve loved it when we could look straight down at the resort’s three pools and iconic red chairs and umbrellas and out to the blue-green ocean. However, we've also enjoyed seeing Southern Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway from the opposite side of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel and don’t think they’re a bad bet for the value. One extra bonus about the oceanfront rooms, though: If you leave the sliding glass door open to the balcony, you can be lulled to sleep by the peaceful sounds of the waves hitting the shore.
