Saying there’s a jogging route near Trump International Hotel & Tower New York is like saying China has a nice fence: Both descriptions sell a great site short. While you might not be near the Great Wall of China, you will be just steps from Central Park and its fantastic jogging routes when you stay at the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. Park drives, which circle Central Park, offer three long distance paths, at 6.1, 5.2 and 1.7 miles each. But you can always cut across the park at any time to shorten your jog.
The Reservoir features a soft surface track, a little more than 1.5 miles around, with beautiful views of the park and the city skyline. In the spring, blooming cherry trees line the track. Three conjoined soft-surface routes make up the Bridle Paths; you can choose from the Reservoir loop, at 1.5 miles; the North Meadow loop, at 1.1 miles; and the southern spur, at 1.5 miles. Even for the avid runner, the park rolls out enough paths and options to inject variety and new scenery into your workout. And, if you have the patience, you can battle the crowds on the city sidewalks. Just don’t expect to get anywhere fast, if that’s where you choose to run while you’re staying at this luxury hotel.
