The 59th Street-Columbus Circle stop of the subway is just steps away from Trump International Hotel & Tower New York. Subway lines 1, A, B, C and D all run through the nearby stop; those lines will take you south down Sixth, Seventh and Eighth avenues and north to the Upper West Side.
Grand Central Station, about two miles south of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel, gives you access to the 4, 5, 6, 7 and S subway lines as well as the Metro-North Railroad. Plus, Grand Central Station, a historical gem, offers cool photo opportunities. Deciphering the metro map can be something of a challenge, but just pop into a restaurant or coffee shop to plan your route. And to boost your street cred, you should probably know that New Yorkers refer to the subway lines by number or letter: 1, 2, 3 or A, B, C, etc. rather than by color. If you ask where the green line is, no one will know what you’re talking about. But remember, cabs run all day and night throughout Manhattan, so there’s always an easy way back to your New York hotel.
