If you’re a fan of legendary chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, you’ll want to bring your appetite to Trump International Hotel & Tower New York, which houses two of his restaurants. Even if you aren’t a fan, you’ll become one: Vongerichten’s eponymous Five-Star restaurant serves some of the best French food on this side of the Atlantic. You’re certain to find something you’ll love amid the tasting menu options as well as a prix fixe menu. Unique dishes, such as foie gras brulee and Parmesan-crusted organic chicken, make Jean Georges a Manhattan foodie mecca.
Nougatine, the more casual dining venue, also doubles as the hotel’s only bar. With the cream tiled floor and bright lighting, the restaurant feels open and modern. Nougatine’s floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Central Park and exhibition kitchen attract sizable lunch crowds.; we think the prix-fixe menu is one of the best buys in town. For just $28, you get a three-course meal, with dishes such as tuna tartare with avocado, spicy radish and ginger marinade, slowly cooked skate with aromatic black beans, avocado, ginger and truffle juice, and warm chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better meal at such a low price point.
Trump International Hotel & Tower has two restaurants, Jean Georges and Nougatine.
