Any good meal undoubtedly involves wine, and Ai Fiori is no different. The man behind the wine list is beverage director and chef sommelier Hristo Zisovski. Starting with a degree from the Culinary Institute of America, Zisovski went on to work at high-end restaurants such as March (assistant beverage director) and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Jean Georges (chef sommelier). He joined the Altamarea Group in 2010 when Ai Fiori first opened, and now serves as the beverage director for the company’s other outposts including Osteria Morini, Nicoletta, Due Mari and Osteria Morini New Jersey. Under his guidance, the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star restaurant has been awarded Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence, and Zisovski also holds the impressive title of Advanced Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
