If the wasabi peanuts and truffle popcorn at Jean Georges’ bar aren’t enough to fill you up, don’t fret. You can order from the full dinner menu. You’ll find the bar within Nougatine, the adjoining restaurant and more casual alternative to the main dining room at Jean Georges. Nougatine’s full lunch and dinner menus — less expensive but equally delicious versions of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star restaurant's fare — are available at the bar. Try the prix fixe lunch for $28 and treat yourself to not-so-typical bar eats: endive salad with huckleberries and Brie; organic chicken with parsnips, kale and pomegranate vinaigrette; and, for dessert, baked pear with crème fraîche and black currant sorbet. You just may decide to stay in the bar for dinner.
