There are nine guest rooms in Castle Hill Inn's regal 19th-century mansion, which serves as the property's main structure. Though no two rooms are exactly alike in style, size or décor, each one provides a combination of modern-day luxury and Old World charm. All rooms feature beautifully maintained hardwood floors, luxurious bathroom furnishings, cozy fireplaces and, of course, gorgeous views. The best vista in the house, however, belongs to the Turret Suite, a two-story guest room boasting a 360-degree panoramic perspective of Narragansett Bay.
Castle Hill Inn's Beach Houses and Cottages are located close to the entrance of the property, and each of these units opens its door right to the Newport inn's private beach. The serene, relaxing interiors in shades of white, blue and sea green complement the gentle sounds of the waves crashing along the cove. Semi-private decks with patio furniture offer the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, become immersed in a book or catch up on email (the entire property is Wi-Fi enabled and accessible at no additional cost).
The quaint, charming exteriors of both the Harbor Houses and the Chalet give little hint to the neutral-toned, sleek, sophisticated rooms that await inside their doors. These romantic, semi-secluded rooms overlook the peninsula's rocky harbor, and are just a short walk from the mansion, where a full gourmet breakfast (selections range from oatmeal with local honey, apple compote and cinnamon to Maine lobster hash with poached eggs, and chive crème fraîche) and afternoon high tea are served daily.
