The excellent room service menu at the Andaz Shanghai leans towards Chinese flavors, but with make-your-own offerings, guests are sure to find something that suit any taste. Breakfast is available at all hours, and a special healthy balance menu offers smoothies and perfectly portioned dishes like a grilled Bailing mushroom burger. More savory items include Shanghainese fried noodle with shredded pork, Yangzhou fried rice, Sichuan dandan noodles, traditional beef noodle soup and a range of dim sum, from crispy pork cabbage spring rolls and crystal shrimp dumplings to xiaolongbao. Starters include homemade bean curd skin and fried fresh river shrimps, each served with a sweet soy sauce. There are three soups and three sandwiches offered at the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel, including a beef cheeseburger, as well as stir-fried mandarin fish with rice wine and stewed pork belly with bamboo. Guests can also make their own salads, choosing from three types of leaves, eight toppings, six proteins and four dressings, and do the same with sandwiches and pastas. Last, desserts include strawberry lime cheesecake and black sesame dumplings.
