Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas

An exquisite stay on Saadiyat Beach

Situated on a stretch of pristine white-sand beach on Saadiyat Island, the serene Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas is surprisingly well within reach of some of the UAE capital’s top attractions.

At this luxe resort, sprawling beachfront grounds include green lawns, one of the largest swimming pools in Abu Dhabi and plenty of plush loungers to ensure you get your spot in the sun (or the shade). The property is so peaceful come sunrise that you may even catch a sighting of endangered hawksbill turtles and dolphins frolicking just offshore.

The muted, sandy colors throughout the hotel add to its atmosphere of serenity, with décor that is elegant. Even the basic accommodations start from a spacious 583 square feet, though it’s unlikely you’ll be spending much time in your room with the resort’s choice of excellent restaurants, spa facilities and eco tours tempting you away.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Service in the Abu Dhabi hotel is superb, particularly in The Park Bar & Grill. The resort’s signature restaurant brims with knowledgeable staff and a friendly kitchen team that interacts with diners.
  • The beachfront grounds are beautiful in the evenings. Be sure to make time to watch the sun set from the Beach House Rooftop and stroll around the prettily lit pool area at night.
  • The breakfast buffet in The Café is no ordinary affair. In a high-ceilinged space flooded with natural light, a bounty of pastries practically tumbles off the tabletop — and that’s just to start.
  • Atarmia Spa is worth your time even without booking a treatment. A private outdoor pool provides extra tranquility while the interior’s cool gray stone décor and gold-mosaic Jacuzzi offer a welcome respite from the midday sun.
  • Experience a side of Abu Dhabi that many travelers never see with the Hyatt’s eco tours. Nature lovers should ask for the hotel’s resident marine biologist Arabella Willing, who leads insightful wildlife walks and boat tours through the nearby mangroves.

Things to Know

  • The resort’s massive pool includes discrete areas for families as well as adults-only spaces. Choose the ideal location for your lounger and a dip accordingly.
  • The daily Camp Hyatt caters to children with activities such as face painting, origami, nature trails, cookie decorating, movie sessions and more. This is a complimentary offering for hotel guests.
  • While the beachfront villas are luxurious and ideal for families, tall privacy screens block the view of the ocean.

The Rooms

  • Separate from the main building, the Beach View Suites and Garden View Suites have a private-villa feel to them, set in small single-story abodes. Some come with their own private plunge pools.
  • Those who like to linger in a bath will find a treat: each bathroom boasts a stand-alone soaking tub and Le Labo toiletries created specifically for the luxury hotel in a soothing bergamot orange scent.
  • Rooms include a spacious and comfortably furnished balcony. While not every one has a direct sea view, you’ll at least get verdant vistas of the gardens or the neighboring golf course’s rolling greens — both a luxury in the desert.

Nearby Attractions

  • Just minutes away by car, the brand-new Louvre Abu Dhabi is positioned to be one of the Middle East’s top art and culture attractions.
  • Sports enthusiasts can play a round on the links at the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club hugging the hotel or visit the Yas Marina Circuit (home to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix), a scenic 20-minute drive away over islands and mangroves.
  • See and be seen at the exclusive dining and shopping destination The Galleria (peruse La Petite Maison and Dior). The retail retreat is just a 10-minute drive on neighboring Al Maryah Island.
