InterContinental Buckhead

A standout in a buzzy Atlanta corner
Recognized as one of the leading business hotels in the area, the contemporary, comfortable Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star InterContinental Buckhead is also great for leisure travelers. Lenox Square, one of the largest shopping malls in the Southeast, and the upscale Phipps Plaza are within walking distance. The hotel’s Bourbon Bar is a lively spot for creative cocktails and filled with locals on most weeknights, while the on-site restaurant Southern Art is a good place to try updated Southern favorites.
Our Inspector's Highlights
• Luxury shopping is steps away from the luxury Atlanta hotel. Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza are located off Peachtree Road, sometimes called the “Rodeo Drive” of the Southeast’s “Beverly Hills” that is Buckhead.

• But you don’t need to go far to love the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel's location — the best features are housed at the hotel itself. The central Windsor Garden is a breath of fresh air in the metropolitan setting. It’s a green space to steal away with a good book or even play croquet.

• The Atlanta hotel strives to interact with its guests, starting with welcome videos from Chef Concierge Richard Lara on the Internet that will orient you with Buckhead and the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel’s special offerings. If you have extra questions that come up during your stay, you can interact with Lara over your iPad.

• While Atlanta boasts many renowned art museums, InterContinental Buckhead is its own museum of sorts to American artist George Long’s works, among 15 works from other prominent artists. Long is an Atlanta local, but his work has appeared all across the country.

• The Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel helps save the planet, and so can you during your stay. The entrée fountain that greets you is actually using recycled rainwater to help alleviate Georgia’s drought conditions.
