Archer Hotel Austin

A hip hotel that's authentically Austin
VERIFIED LUXURY
Located in the constantly evolving Domain Northside entertainment and shopping district, Archer Hotel Austin is a newly opened ode to this city — rustic but thoroughly modern.

The eight-story, 171 room boutique hotel blends the pastoral soul of Texas Hill Country with Austin’s vibrant music scene and its northwest location near Apple, Dell, IBM and National Instruments make it a great destination for business and urban explorers looking for chic accommodations that well-represent the colorful capital city.

Rustic features are made elegant at this hip hotel. Rows of reclaimed leather belts discreetly line the wall behind the reception area and stately blue velvet armchairs face a flickering fireplace. On the second level, you’ll find whimsical themed seating areas brightened with touches like cowhide chairs, a bright turquoise leather couch and “Hey baby. Que paso?" scrawled in neon, inspired by a Texas Tornados song.

Our Inspector's Highlights
  • The lobby opens up to a lofty atrium showcasing Texas-chic décor: an elegant chandelier, a grand staircase juxtaposed with wild horse imagery, and earth-tone leather furniture contrasted with glam silver tree trunk tables.
  • A fitness studio, outfitted with new cardio machine models and weight systems, inspires a great workout with views of the extraordinary second-floor pool patio.
  • The pool patio offers a relaxing retreat from the Austin heat. The popular spot features a spacious round pool (with the star of Texas painted on the bottom of it) and is surrounded by sleek cabanas.
  • The pièce de résistance is the 14-by-7-foot screen towering over a long gas fireplace at the far end of the rooftop pool, perfect for film screenings and game-day parties.
  • Keeping with the theme, the hotel’s hallways are mini-galleries featuring storied local artwork, including framed black-and-white photos capturing Austin’s live music scene through the years.
