Hotel Amigo, a Rocco Forte Hotel
Originally, the 1522 building served as a prison, but later it underwent a big transformation and became Hotel Amigo, housing royalty and nobility in the bustling city during the Brussels World's Fair in 1958. Joining Rocco Forte Hotels in 2000, the space now hosts travelers from around the world, but the elegance and artistic flair of the hotel’s latter period remain. Wander over 17th-century flagstones, observe 18th-century Flemish tapestries and check out prints and original works by Belgian painter René Magritte.

- The bright dining room of Ristorante BoCConi's isn't just for eating in; look around at the art. Olga Polizzi designed the space, and prints and plates by Italian artist Piero Fornasetti adorn the walls.
- Many of the rooms have unique personalities. One is decked out in images from the comic “The Adventures of Tintin,” and another with delicate green trees painted on the walls. All spaces feature prints and art from Belgian artists. Many accommodations also feature lovely views of the historic cobbled streets of Brussels from the quaint balconies.

Debuting in 1847, Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert is one of Europe’s oldest shopping arcades. The sprawling Florentine Renaissance-style arcade houses everything from shops selling luxury jewelry to chocolate. Stroll through its Galerie de la Reine, or Queen’s Gallery.
