The resort’s 340 rooms and suites are sleek yet inviting, with floor-to-ceiling windows, private plunge pools or swim-up access, and subtle nods to Dominican culture woven into the décor.

Dining here is anything but predictable. With 13 venues, you might start with sushi at the rooftop raw bar, sip craft cocktails in a moody speakeasy or linger over Caribbean flavors at a beachside grill. The resort puts a tropical twist on W Hotels’ typical daring style (courtesy of Spanish firm Zanobia Arquitectura), with columns clad in climbing ivy, full-sized ferns and reflection pools dotting the open-air lobby. Look for other fun design touches throughout the property, like light fixtures inspired by dragonfly wings and bold floral wallpaper.
