Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa

Sophistication and sweeping clifftop views
VERIFIED LUXURY

Resting on a clifftop, Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa delivers stunning views of the rugged Tramuntana mountains — a UNESCO Heritage Site — and the deep blue sea. And everything at the hotel, from the rooms to the restaurants, is framed around the ravishing scenery.

Aside from admiring the landscape, there is plenty to keep you busy during your stay, including a rejuvenating spa, three restaurants, two bars and two pools. While you indulge in all of the amenities, little ones will be equally entertained in the hotel’s popular kids club.

The property feels blissfully removed from the bustle, but it’s only a 10-minute walk from the art and culture in nearby Soller and an easy drive from the capital city of Palma if you want to venture out to do some exploring elsewhere on the island.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Savor local dishes and Mediterranean views while dining at Cap Roig Brasserie's terrace.
  • During the day, linger on a lounger at the Tramuntana Terrace to soak up the sun and panoramas of the horseshoe-shaped bay and mountains. To see the terrace at night, book a romantic private five-course dinner for two under the stars there.
  • With 10 treatment rooms, a well-rounded thermal circuit and a wide array of services, Talise Spa knows how to pamper you. Our favorite experience is the brightening marine mineral facial that incorporates marine plants and spirulina to bring out a natural glow to your skin.
  • Plan plenty of pool time. You’ll want to take a dip in both the outdoor hydropool and the picturesque infinity pool.
  • The best way to wind down the day is to visit the alfresco Sunset Lounge, order a cocktail and some Asian-inspired bites and watch the sun fade away.

Things to Know

  • The staff can arrange seamless airport transfers so you can be worry-free the moment you arrive. The Palma airport is a 40-minute drive away.
  • The tranquil location means getting to nearby points of interest will require your own transportation or use of one of the hotel vehicles. Make sure to plan with the concierge team for any excursions.
  • This is a family-friendly hotel. There’s a kids club that provides both indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Bring comfy walking shoes for the steep climb up to the hotel from Port Soller.
  • When you want to get away from the action in the communal spaces, there are options for adults-only relaxing.

The Rooms

  • The understated and luxurious rooms and suites have an open and airy vibe with earth tones and striking sea or mountain views from private terraces.
  • The Lighthouse Suite has panoramic views of both sea and mountain, and the bathroom includes a rain shower and whirlpool.
  • A stay in any of the rooms grants you complimentary access to the Talise Spa thermal area.
  • Expect to receive welcome gifts like dates, oranges, wine, Mallorcan sea salts and olive oils.
  • The elegant bathrooms come stocked with luxurious toiletries from Spanish skin-care company Natura Bissé, plush towels and double basin sinks.

Nearby Attractions
  • The Tramuntana mountains are loaded with trails for hiking and biking. An appropriate starter hike might be from the Mallorca hotel to the remarkable Torre Picada, a former defensive tower dating back to the early 17th century. Climb the stairs to the top for sweeping views of the port and the Mediterranean Sea.
  • The nearby village of Deia has long been a spot for creatives and mystics alike. The fairy-tale-like village has mesmerized and inspired the works of novelist Robert Graves and the Broadway musicals of Andrew Lloyd Webber. A day trip to Deia will leave you with lingering sensory memories of sangria and late-night dance parties.
  • To fully immerse yourself in the history and culture of the area, plan a day trip to Palma, where you can learn about the centuries of occupation by Moors, Romans and Christians, and visit galleries, boutiques and architectural wonders. Stroll along the grand promenade, Paseo Maritimo.
  • Soller's Can Prunera Museum of Modernism, located in an art nouveau mansion built in the early 20th century, is a peaceful way to spend a cloudy afternoon.
  • Port Soller and the beach are both a 10-minute walk from the luxury hotel. Shuttle services are available, too.
