Everywhere you look at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Golden Sands, the beautiful Mediterranean Sea calls, with gentle waves of pristine saltwater lapping against the shore of Golden Bay Beach. Our Inspector's Highlights
- There are a lot of choices when it comes to accommodations here. The standard rooms adopt warm woods, light green and bursts of red or dark blue. The suites are done in a dusty rose base with gold wood and matte blue highlights. Some of the suites also are equipped with kitchens.
- All accommodations have balconies or a patio, a great place for sipping morning coffee, which can be obtained at the café Mokka.
- The tucked-away Malta hotel sits on one of the island’s best strips of sand, Golden Bay Beach.
- Take a break from the sun and sand and book a day in the spa. Bonus: if you have children, the concierge can arrange childcare so you can relax.
- If you tire of swimming in the bay, switch over to one of the expansive outdoor pools. They afford a view of the sea.
The Restaurants
- With so many places to eat and drink right in the resort, it can be hard to choose. But if there's one place you must try, it's Agliolio. This causal yet refined spot offers Italian food with a unique Maltese twist, all with a great view of Golden Bay.
- Flavours is the main restaurant on property, and it serves breakfast and dinner. Breakfast consists of an impressive buffet with all the classic morning bites, both healthy and indulgent. Dinner, too, is done buffet style, but where the early meal is standard, each night the spread centers around a different country or theme, such as Indian food, British fare or barbecue.
- May through October, the luxury hotel opens up Lagoon, a bar with unparalleled views of the Mellieha coastline. The alfresco venue serves classic and craft cocktails, wine, beer, pasta, salad and grilled foods.
- Every night, Essence of India serves gourmet fare such as tandoori grilled meats, seafood curry and chicken tikka. You will be treated to a lovely view of the bay as you dine.
