Morocco's peaceful paradise
Just outside of Marrakech, Amanjena awaits as a tranquil escape. Amid date palms and olive trees, you’ll find muted pink structures that take inspiration from a sultan’s palace with dramatic archways, Moorish lanterns, Berber rugs and mosaic floors. And each of these 32 spacious accommodations feels like a private royal residence.

If you can tear yourself from your palace, there’s much to explore on the property, including a spa, tennis courts, golf, a cigar bar, an upscale izakaya (a Japanese pub with food) with a sushi bar and a robata grill, and a restaurant serving Moroccan food.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Don’t miss the complimentary afternoon tea, where you can indulge in local pastries and Morocco’s famous mint tea — Chinese gunpowder green tea combined with fresh mint and sweetened.
  • Get a treatment in one of the spa’s two hammam suites, equipped with their own courtyards. During the Moroccan Bloom, black olive oil soap will cleanse your skin, a scrub will buff it, and then a rhassoul clay mask will hydrate. It’s topped off with a massage.
  • Join one of the add-on adventures that the Marrakech hotel offers. For example, in the medina excursion, a guide will bring you through the tanneries, bakeries, a former stork hospital and the Musée de Marrakech.
