The Lodge at Glendorn

A rustic luxury retreat in rural Pennsylvania
VERIFIED LUXURY
Bringing luxury and refinement to the tranquility of northern Pennsylvania’s rural woodlands is what The Lodge at Glendorn is all about. It offers a memorable, adventurous getaway next to the Allegheny National Forest.

Originally a 1927 retreat for C.G. Dorn’s family that became a hotel in 1995, Glendorn is both an exciting outdoor locale and a relaxing luxury escape. The secluded setting delivers intimacy and privacy while providing access to a host of activities on the resort’s 1,500 acres of forest.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• Outdoor activates are a draw here any time of year. Summer evenings by the lake with elaborate meals, bonfires or quiet picnics top off days of kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, biking, fly-fishing, tennis, basketball, shuffleboard and swimming.

• Jeep tours of the vast property are a special activity in the autumn under a canopy of amber and scarlet leaves. The Pennsylvania hotel also presents the unique experience of an apple cider press demonstration each fall, and tractor-drawn wagon rides.

• Winter snowshoeing, cross-country and downhill skiing, ice fishing, sledding, skeet shooting and snowmobiling keep you active when temperatures drop.

• One activity is a must any time of year: a visit to the resort’s spa. Here you can lounge in the relaxation room, linger in a private rain shower and opt for one (or more) indulgent treatments from the impressive spa menu.

• There’s no sacrificing fine dining while enjoying the rustic setting of The Lodge at Glendorn. Impeccable service and a gourmet menu are available not only in the main lodge, but all around the sprawling estate.
