The St. Regis Riyadh

A regal retreat in Via Riyadh
VERIFIED LUXURY

In a city quickly becoming known for its penchant for luxury, The St. Regis Riyadh delivers an extra dose of exclusivity thanks to what it doesn’t have: hundreds of rooms. At just 83 keys, the 2023-opened hotel in the heart of the upscale Via Riyadh district is a quiet retreat away from the fast pace of the Saudi capital but with all the exquisite trappings of a world-class stay.

Marriott’s 500th property is a beautiful blend of heritage, incorporating art deco elements (a nod to the brand’s New York roots) and a classic Saudi Arabian design aesthetic. The result is a chic interior punctuated with glints of gold and bronze for a little extra opulence. But it's not all style over substance here; signature butler service, the largest spa in Riyadh and a greenery-shrouded oasis of a pool are just a few of the standout indulgences you can expect to enjoy during your stay.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Exclusivity is the name of the game at The St. Regis Riyadh. The only hotel in the recently debuted Via Riyadh development puts you within arm’s reach of designer boutiques from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Tom Ford, acclaimed restaurants, a luxury movie theater, lush walking trails and the Diplomatic Quarter.
  • The Riyadh hotel embraces its Saudi address with a distinctly Salmani-inspired exterior constructed from Tuwaiq mountain stone. The rustic rock paired with sleek glass windows in the dramatic geometric facade presents a modern take on the region’s traditional design.
  • All 83 of the luxury hotel’s rooms are spacious retreats created with comfort in mind. Starting at more than 600 square feet, sumptuous accommodations all boast deep-soaking tubs, floor-to-ceiling windows equipped with automated blinds and generous seating areas that offer plenty of room to sprawl.
  • Check into The Royal Suite to enjoy 2,421 square feet of lavishness, including a private bar, separate dining and living rooms, a gilded bathtub and a Frette-linen-dressed king bed overlooking Via Riyad’s gorgeously landscaped grounds.
  • The St. Regis Spa provides a dose of Italian grandeur with elegant domed ceilings and green marble interiors throughout its expansive 13,000-plus-square-foot facility. Treatments featuring AMRA products infused with 24-karat gold and platinum are no less indulgent.

The Restaurants

  • Inspired by the effortlessly chic Jackie Kennedy Onassis and her love of the Mediterranean, Jackie Restaurant serves up Greek cuisine with an American influence. Culinary highlights could include Maine-style lobster bisque or sea bass and artichokes in a lemon butter sauce with a dash of caviar.
  • The two-story dining room with its vintage-inspired décor, striking staircase and black-and-white photos of the Kennedy family lining the walls make Jackie Restaurant an elegant backdrop for your next dinner date.
  • Stella Sky provides a stylish spot to watch the sun set over Riyadh accompanied by live music, shisha and Saudi-spiced sushi and sashimi. The beautifully designed interiors have an entrancing stargazing theme, but the best seats can be found on the open-air terrace, where city views take center stage.
  • Pony up to the signature St. Regis Bar for a local alcohol-free twist on a classic. The Regal Mary cocktail lends a distinctly Saudi flavor to the traditional bloody mary with an infusion of dates, turmeric and sumac.
