Occupying a grand palazzo that was once home to the Bank of Italy, Corinthia Rome brought new energy to the city’s historic district when it opened in early 2026. Originally designed by father-and-son Italian architects Pio and Marcello Piacentini, the grand neoclassical palazzo has been carefully restored, balancing original frescoes and mosaic floors with clean lines and a soft yet contemporary palette.
At the heart of the building, open-air Piazzetta bistro reimagines the Roman square as a lively, all-day gathering place for coffee, long lunches and conversation. - Built between 1913 and 1921, the palazzo has been thoughtfully reimagined by noted hospitality design studio GA. Historic mosaics, marble details and ornate cornices have been preserved— or painstakingly re-created— while contemporary hues, furnishings and artwork add warmth as well as a more residential atmosphere.
