Woodstock Inn & Resort

A grand New England resort
VERIFIED LUXURY
Woodstock Inn & Resort is in the picturesque town of Woodstock, Vermont. Founded by Laurance Rockefeller, now owned and operated by the Woodstock Foudation, this grand 142-room hotel has recently undergone a $2.6 million upgrade of its first-floor public spaces. The lobby, library, front lawn and entrance were renovated to embrace its Federal roots and pay homage to its founders.

With abundant activities all year long, guests who crave adventure will not lack for things to do. In the warmer months, play 18 holes on the Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf course or take a spin around Woodstock Village Green on one the resort’s cruiser bikes.

In the winter, the Tubbs Snowshoes & Nordic Adventure Center offers groomed trails for cross-country skiing, fat biking or snowshoeing while downhill skiers head over to nearby Suicide Six Ski Area.

The resort’s own certified organic gardens provide its restaurants with fresh produce and flowers daily, including vegetables, herbs, berries and edible flowers.

  • On the lower level of the Vermont hotel there is a large game room with pinball machines, pool tables and even a jumbo, life-sized Scrabble board.
  • In addition to the in-room Keurig K-Cup coffeemaker with Green Mountain Coffee and tea, morning coffee and afternoon tea and cookies are served daily in the sun-filled conservatory.
  • Peruse the gift shop, which features products from some of Vermont’s best artisans such as the hand-blown glass from Simon Pearce and items from Farmhouse Pottery.
  • The Inn’s oversized wood-burning fireplace is the focal point of the lobby space with abundant seating for individuals and small groups.

The Restaurants

The inn's signature restaurant sources from the best purveyors in the region and highlights the bounty with dishes like winter green salad with chicory and honey apple cider vinaigrette, country-fried rabbit loin with squash and apple hash and pork braciole with tomato fennel ragout.
  • Craft brews and spirits are always on tap at Richardson's Tavern, where flavorful small plates pair perfectly with the seasonal sips. A porch allows you to enjoy the weather in warmer months, while plush chairs and a roaring fireplace keep things cozy in the winter.
  • Satiate your midday craving at seasonal establishments, such as The Fairway Grill for fresh salads during warmer months and Perley's Pourhouse for hearty soups and sandwiches at the height of ski season.
