Bookended by a lagoon and beach, interior designer Sybille de Margerie (also behind Mandarin Oriental, Paris and Cheval Blanc Courchevel) infused the philosophy of French minimalism (a color palette of coastal shades and mix of wood tones throughout) while not overpowering the true highlight of the rooms — ocean views. Terraces put you steps away from the white-sand shore and crystal-clear turquoise water, punctuated only by a few boats bobbing in the distance.
- Le Spa is a holistic haven and the only in the Caribbean to tout luxe beauty brand La Mer. In addition to massages and treatments, you can sample alternative therapies like biofield tuning to release blocked energy and sound baths combining gongs and tuning forks.
- Dining at signature eatery Amis St. Barth extends from the open-air, pavilion-style restaurant to the beach. Cuisine from noted chef Jéremy Czaplick takes a cue from French-Caribbean and southern European fare (with a fine-dining touch) and guests can order picnic “baskets” outfitted with rosé and other gourmet goodies, plus beach essentials like chairs and umbrellas.
- Two private villas are perched above the sea and feature sprawling, 55-foot infinity pools that frame the beach — which you can access directly from your private terrace. Each accommodates up to 12 guests in six bedrooms, making them perfect for families or groups traveling together.
- Choose to sun and swim in the tranquil crescent-shaped lagoon fronting the St. Barts hotel or its expansive infinity pool, which bears Le Barthélemy’s sand dollar logo on its floor.
