T'ang Court, Hong Kong

An elegant Cantonese meal in Hong Kong
VERIFIED LUXURY
Situated in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui’s luxury shopping district is where you’ll find The Langham, Hong Kong and its sophisticated Cantonese restaurant T’ang Court. The two-story dining room, plushly carpeted and draped in shades of burgundy and gold, is meant to evoke imperial China, specifically the Tang Dynasty, from which the establishment gets its name.

Tables are well spaced, seated with a mix of suits, families, and shoppers taking a break for a savory bite to eat. This is one of the more classical Cantonese addresses in Hong Kong, with plenty of seafood, barbecue selections, and crisp roasted poultry.

Set menus are available at lunch and dinner. At many restaurants, these menus are designed for large groups, but T’ang Court also offers set menus for one or two people, one of the many thoughtful gestures you’ll find characterizes this classic Hong Kong restaurant.

Our Inspector's Highlights
• T’ang Court also offers set menus for one or two people, a thoughtful gesture, since the family-style dishes that characterizes much of Chinese cooking can leave solo diners and pairs flustered.

• The wine list at T’ang Court is thoughtful, too, with selections from six continents. Bordeaux and Burgundy lead the way, as is typical in Hong Kong, followed by Italy, Australia, and boutique names from the U.S.

• An experienced sommelier is on hand to help with wine pairings — a perfect complement to an elegant Cantonese meal.

• A well-trained staff at T’ang Court rounds out the experience with formal but warm service; it will help you navigate the menu and make sure that your tea never goes cold.
Things to Know
• Dine on Cantonese delicacies for dinner seven days a week at T’ang Court from 6 to 11 p.m.  A delightful dim sum lunch is also available from noon until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

• The Hong Kong restaurant welcomes diners dressed in smart-casual style. Men should avoid dressing in open shoes and short-sleeved shirts, and for dinner no short pants are accepted, while women should dress for the elegance of the venue.

• If you’re just visiting the Five-Star hotel to grab a bite of Cantonese goodness, you can enjoy complimentary 2-hour parking at lunchtime and 3-hour parking at dinner.
