Bellpine

An elegant ode to Oregon’s bounty
VERIFIED LUXURY

Nestled within the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, Portland, Bellpine feels like an invitation to Oregon’s rich culinary tapestry. You step into a space where contemporary elegance meets the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest — warm wood tones, softly glowing lights and curated art inspired by the region’s landscapes create a setting that feels both intimate and grand. It’s as if the restaurant itself is a love letter to the Beaver State, a theme reflected in every detail, from the mood to the menu to the mesmerizing 20th-floor views over Mount Hood.

At the helm is celebrated chef Jocelyn Chacon, who champions the state’s bounty in a modern American spread, crafting seasonal dishes that highlight local ingredients such as foraged wild mushrooms and fresh-caught seafood. A thoughtfully curated wine list showcasing Willamette Valley’s finest vintages and a chic, marble-lined bar featuring regional spirits round out the Oregon-inspired offerings.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Thanks to its elevated perch, Bellpine offers some of the best views around — made even more magical at sunset. Large floor-to-ceiling windows frame stunning vistas of Portland’s skyline and the distant Cascade Mountains, offering you a visual connection to the Pacific Northwest’s beauty.
  • Bellpine’s menu celebrates the best of Oregon’s seasonal bounty, focusing on farm-to-table dishes crafted with a modern European twist.
  • The menu changes frequently, but highlights might include a hazelnut-crusted Pacific King salmon with yuzu hollandaise or a teriyaki roasted duck served with an Oregon cherry salsa. Each plate is artfully presented, reflecting the restaurant’s attention to both flavor and aesthetics.
  • Named for a type of marine sediment found in the Pacific Northwest, Bellpine follows suit with its design, which has an aquatic feel and a sophisticated twist. Elegant interiors from Roam Interior Design feature an ocean-themed color palette, modern sculptures inspired by coastal tide pools and rock formations, and a textured ceiling designed to emulate the underside of a wild mushroom.
  • The wine list boasts more than 200 labels, leaning heavily on regional varietals from Oregon and Washington wineries. The cocktail menu also showcases local producers with an emphasis on spirits crafted by Pacific Northwest distilleries.
